About Us
Our Story
Rose Clinic Bray was founded in 2024 by Dr Aoife Nic Shamhráin and Dr Ciara McKenna, two highly experienced GPs with a deep passion for women's health. Having met through their work in women's health, they have built a strong professional relationship and friendship, united by their commitment to empowering women and delivering compassionate, tailored healthcare.
Building on the legacy of Bray Women’s Health Centre, they established their practice in the existing premises, continuing the tradition of exceptional care following the retirement of Dr Gillian McCutcheon.
In December 2025, we moved to our new, larger and brighter premises on Eglinton Road. This new space allows us to grow and to welcome additional healthcare professionals who share our commitment to comprehensive women’s health.
Rose Clinic Bray is committed to providing individualised, compassionate care for women at every stage of life, ensuring that you receive the personalised attention and expertise you deserve.
In addition to their clinical work, Aoife and Ciara co-host a women’s health podcast, "Lady Bites", with Dr Louise Fitzgerald. Together, they share their expertise with the aim of providing fortnightly informative, 'bite-sized' episodes on key topics in women's health.

She has extensive experience supporting expectant parents and mothers at every stage of bringing a baby into the world. Aoife believes that a parent’s greatest strength is their own intuition, and through her classes she hopes to help parents tune into and trust this intuition. In a noisy world, it can be hard to know which information is right for you. Aoife aims to help parents cut through the noise and make informed, confident choices around birth and parenting.
Aoife is bringing Relax Stretch Breathe Pregnancy Classes to Bray. These classes combine a gentle yoga-based class with information about pregnancy and birth. The classes aim to improve physical and emotional wellbeing, provide information about birth and increase the likelihood of a positive birth experience. The classes offer you time out from busy schedules, to relax and concentrate on yourself and your baby. This is a soft, nourishing class combining gentle movement, mindful breathing, and shared wisdom around pregnancy and birth — all grounded in the rhythms of your changing body and heart.
The groups are a mix of first-time expectant mothers & pregnant people and those who’ve previously given birth so there’s lots of sharing of wisdom and tips within the group.
No yoga experience needed. Size-inclusive, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, Neurodivergent Inclusive.
